Behavioral Health Consultant
The Behavioral Health Consultant provides assessments, brief therapy, and crisis intervention to eight to fourteen patients per day in a multicultural health center. Training and experience in evidence-based interventions and health psychology required. Under the close clinical supervision of the Behavioral Health Consultant II, provides consultation for the medical staff on behavioral health matters and serves as a treatment team member.
The Dental Assistant assists Dentists with patient
care through a variety of tasks. The health conditions include common, complex
and/or advanced orally related diseases needing continued supervision of the
prescribed treatment plan. The Dental Assistant will aid in the explanation of the treatment plan and basic oral hygiene techniques such as brushing and flossing.
Family Medical Doctor
Family Medical Doctor is responsible for appointment and walk-in patient care in an out-patient primary health clinic serving patients of all ages and socioeconomic levels. The Family Medical Doctor will supervise Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants, and other support staff in a caring and professional manner. Experience in the delivery of primary care in a sensitive, multicultural basis in the patients’s native language is needed.
Family Nurse Practitioner
Function as a Nurse Practitioner in an out-patient primary health care clinic servicing patients of all ages and socioeconomic levels. Utilize professional skills in providing diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems along with preventive care focused on health risk factor reduction. Ensure efficient and effective patient care through join planning and problem solving with clinic staff. Provide care consistent with medical best practices and the policies and procedures of the organization.
The Medical Assistant aides the medical providers with patient care
through a variety of tasks. The Medical Assistant will prepare patients to be seen by the medical provider by bringing the patient to an exam room, taking vitals, and collecting the patient’s health history. The Medical Assistant helps with the administrative aspects of patient care, as well, through maintaining patient documents in the Electronic Medical Records software and other duties as assigned. This person always maintains professionalism when providing care and delivers care in a culturally competent manner. This person collaborates with other medical personnel, including members of the other practices, to complete his or her work.
Obstetrician / Gynecologist
The Obstetric and Gynecology Physician provides health assessment and direct care to obstetric and gynecology patients as part of the provider team delivering services to Center patients. This position primarily provides outpatient gynecology services and supervises high-risk prenatal patients. This position does not include labor and delivery services. No hospital rounds will be required.
The Patient Advocate provides quality customer services to all patients of Greater Prince William Community Health Center. The role of a Patient Advocate is to facilitate the coordination of patient care from an administrative perspective. Within a Community Health Center setting, the patient population varies greatly and it is important the Patient Advocate is able to work in a culturally competent manner at all times. The Patient Advocate is the first point of contact at GPWCHC for patients and it is important this person presents professionally and friendly at all times. This person collaborates with the Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Medical Assistants to complete his/her work.
