SALUD ORAL DURANTE EL EMBARAZO

Durante el embarazo es importante cuidar la boca y los dientes. Cuidar los dientes, comer alimentos saludables y tener otros comportamientos saludables es importante para usted y para su bebé. Sonrisas para niños(SFC) es el programa de Medicaid de Virginia y el programa dental de FAMIS. SFC brinda beneficios dentalesintegrales a miembros menores de 21 años, beneficios dentales médicamente adecuados a miembros embarazadas y beneficioslimitados a miembros no embarazadas de más de 21 años. Consejos para cuidar bien la salud oral:

  • Los cambios corporales durante el embarazo pueden hacer que las encías estén sensibles, que se hinchen y que posiblemente sangren. A esto se le conoce como gingivitis y es necesario que el dentista la trate.
  • El cuidado oral es seguro durante el embarazo y es importante ver al dentista cada seis meses o cuando algo le preocupe.
  • Debe cepillarse los dientes cuando menos dos veces al día y reemplazar el cepillo de dientes cada 3 a 4 meses.
  • Enjuáguese cada noche con un enjuague bucal con flúor.
  • Coma diversos alimentos saludables como frutas, verduras, productos lácteos y granos enteros.
  • Si vomita, es importante enjuagar la boca para que el ácido no afecte los dientes.

US Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia BurwellManassas, Virginia, November 14, 2014 – This Saturday, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell will be among the hundreds of visitors to the Greater Prince William Community Health Center’s second annual “Marketplace Party.” Taking place 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Evergreen Health Center, 9705 Liberia Avenue, Suite 201, Manassas, Va., the free event is open to the public and provides Health Insurance Marketplace open enrollment walk-in services, as well as flu shots, refreshments and tours of the recently opened center. Open enrollment for the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace starts this Saturday, Nov. 15. Join us as we kick things off with our “Marketplace Party.” Consult with one of 20 Certified Application Counselors to renew or enroll in a new Health Insurance Marketplace plan and to explore your family’s Medicaid options.

This FREE event is open to the public, this Saturday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Evergreen Health Center, 9705 Liberia Avenue, Suite 201 in Manassas. Join us for free flu shots, food, Center tours and application assistance all day. Our trained staff can help you to:

  • Determine eligibility to enroll
  • Learn the amount of the IRS penalty for non-enrollment
  • Explore new health insurance plan options or renew your current plan
  • Knowt your monthly premium costs, available subsidies and advanced tax credits that will help you pay your premiums

VIA Interstate 95 (North or South):
Take the Prince William County Parkway Exit #158B. Follow the Prince William Parkway approximately 4.4 miles to the Prince William Parkway/Old Bridge Road intersection. Take a left to remain on Prince William Parkway. At the first traffic light, turn left to enter Ridgewood Center complex.

VIA Interstate 66 (East or West) and VIA Route 234 By-Pass:
Take Exit #44 off of Interstate 66 and follow the Prince William Parkway/Route 234 By-Pass going south. Pass the intersection with Dumfries Road (Route 234). At the next traffic light, turn left on the Prince William Parkway. At the Prince William Parkway/Wellington Road/Liberia Avenue intersection, turn right onto the Prince William Parkway going east towards Woodbridge. Follow the Prince William Parkway approximately eight miles, past the intersection with Hoadly Road. At the third traffic light, turn right to enter the Ridgewood Center complex.

VIA Route 28 from the South:
Take Route 28 north towards the City of Manassas. Veer right onto the Prince William Parkway/Route 234 By-Pass going south. Continue south approximately three miles and pass the intersection with Dumfries Road (Route 234). At the next traffic light, turn left on the Prince William Parkway. At the Prince William Parkway/Wellington Road/Liberia Avenue intersection, turn right onto the Prince William Parkway going east towards Woodbridge. Follow the Prince William Parkway approximately eight miles, past the intersection with Hoadly Road. At the third traffic light, turn right to enter the Ridgewood Center complex.

VIA Route 28 from the North:
Take Route 28 South towards the City of Manassas. Turn left on Liberia Avenue. Travel south on Liberia Avenue approximately 1.7 miles to the intersection with Prince William Parkway. Turn left onto the Prince William Parkway going east towards Woodbridge. Follow the Prince William Parkway approximately 8 miles, past the intersection with Hoadly Road. At the third traffic light, turn right to enter the Ridgewood Center complex.
